Position Title: Sales Manager - National Accounts - Chicago IL
Location: FILLED
Company Brief: Manufacturer of Specialty components for the aftermarket
Compensation: $90 - $105k base + bonus
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years experience with Key Account Management within National Retail Sales Channels with buyers and purchasing managers at corporate office levels

  • Current or recent experience selling accessory oriented products - hard parts background will not match clients needs

  • Account experience must include Retail accounts like PepBoys, AutoZone, O'Reillys, Advance Auto, etc.

  • Must be interfacing at the corporate level and negotiating all terms and conditions of sale with current and new account

  • Prior experience interfacing with Forecasting, Logistics, Product Planning, Pricing, Manufacturing, Transportation and Marketing departments

  • Experience managing either rep agents or direct sales force

  • Ability to relocate to Chicago, minimal relocation assistance available ($5-10K)

  • College degree a must

  • Ability to travel 50%

Description:
  • Responsibility for the daily sales operations

  • Total responsibility for assigned key accounts to include sales, margin, revenue, product planning, marketing support, and strategic planning

  • Management of several rep agencies

  • Achieve established sales and objectives for the assigned key accounts

  • Forecast for the key accounts by month and by year by article level

  • Coordinate, monitor, and manage inventory and production planning to meet the forecast and unit objectives per key account

  • Identify opportunities for new product lines at the key accounts and convince the key accounts to buy new lines
