Position Title: CFO
Location: FILLED
Company Brief: Major manufacturer serving both the Automotive OEM and Aftermarket industries.
Compensation: $200 - $250K salary + bonus + company car
Requirements:
  • Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting
  • Possess 10 years experience in the Management of Financial Services or Credit/AR departments with revenue of $250M plus in a Distribution or Sales company with over 1000 accounts
  • Knowledge of GAAP, financial statements, IBM AS/400, JD Edwards, BPCS, Lotus Notes, MS Office and GetPaid a must
  • Supervisory Experience - this position will manage 3 individuals
Description:
  • Directing the functional operation of the Financial Services department, which includes Credit/Collections and Accounts Receivable
  • Identifying, analyzing and implementing strategic solutions to increase operational effectiveness
  • Managing credit investigation, performing analysis, assessing customer credit worthiness approving new lines of credit, extending credit limits, and regular review of existing customer credit limits
  • Administering and maintaining credit security such as personal guaranty, UCC and corporate guaranty and communicating regularly to Senior Management on critical issues and AR issues
  • Developing and implementing strategic credit granting and receivable methods to support sales initiatives while avoiding credit risks. Performing research on the Aftermarket industry credit/collections and A/R best practices
  • Continually creating KAIZEN activities for compliance with DSCA quality policy. Developing strong communication procedures with internal and external customers to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Working closely with Sales and other departments in identifying customer related issues and timely resolutions. Building and fostering working relationships between Financial Services and Sales departments
  • Visiting existing and potential customers to investigate credit matters and increase customer satisfaction
  • Negotiating with customers on critical credit collection issues and providing recommendations to Senior Management on the disposition of long-term problem accounts
  • Ensuring A/R and Sales are recorded in accordance with accounting rules and principles. Creating departmental goals/objectives and budget
  • Supervising administrative staff and monitoring and developing reports for corporate
  • Developing A/R monthly plan ratios, and monitoring and ensuring performance
